If you are applying to install energy saving/ generating measures to buildings/ land, you must also meet the following requirements:
Have freehold ownership or a suitable written lease agreement with a minimum of 12 years remaining on it for the building/ land where you would like to install the measures. We will require a copy of the Title Deeds/ lease agreement with this application.
Be able to gain written consent from your organisation's governance board and, if the building/ land is leased, the landlord for the energy saving/ generating measures. We will require a copy of the written consent/s later in the application process.
Have a recent (dated within the last 24 months) and suitable independent energy assessment report or be happy to have one paid for by the Fund and carried out by one of the Funds Approved Energy Audit Suppliers. If you already have one, we will require a copy with this application.
If you are applying to purchase energy efficient/ environmentally friendly vehicles or equipment, you must also meet the following requirement:
Vehicles/ equipment (any non-property related assets) should be intended to be purchased and owned by the applicant organisation and to therefore sit on the financial balance sheet of the applicant organisation.
Eligible Organisations:
Must have a formal company structure/ be incorporated and be a registered UK Charity, Community Interest Company or Community Benefit Society, or, if another legal structure, have a social object, asset lock and restriction on profit distribution written into its governing document.
